Record players from the 1950s evoke the early era of rock'n'roll and of the teenager with money to spend. Listening to records on a modern record player in your own room was part of teenage life.
Every teenager in the 50s and 60s wanted a record player. Rock'n'roll began in the 1950s and teenagers wanted to listen to the latest hits on a cheap, portable record player. Record players, though, were often not cheap, amounting to several months of saving, but nevertheless many teens made the sacrifice.
